The Wind Ensemble concludes its season with an epic collaboration. Award-winning composer Viet Cuong and Grammy-winning ensemble Eighth Blackbird join the band for an evening of Cuong’s music. Assistant Director of Bands Dr. Benjamin Pouncey takes the podium to conduct Cuong’s 2013 work Moth, and Eighth Blackbird is featured on Vital Sines, a work composed expressly for them. The season finale is Cuong’s brand-new symphony Deep Down, composed for the United States Air Force Band.
