This June marks the launch of the Exploration Institute, a shooting star to the Blackbird Creative Lab Immersion, that brings artists and scientists together in a week-long creative residency focused on interdisciplinary research and performance. Developed by Lab Director Garrett Obrycki, Eighth Blackbird members Lina Andonovska and Aaron Wolff and in awesome partnership with Dr. Amanda Bauer and the Yerkes Summer Research Institute, the program is designed to cultivate new artistic works that are directly informed by astronomical inquiry.
